About Me

Hi, I'm Margie

I want to share my love of dollhouse miniatures with you. I've had a dollhouse since I was about 5 years old when my grandpa made one for my sister and me. We each had one half of the house and they fit together to make a whole house. The house lives at my mom and dad's now, because my sister and I didn't feel it was right to split it up.

Currently, I am in the midst of a many year project to build the Bellingham Farmhouse from the kit. You can read about that on my Miniature Projects page. Slowly I'm adding architectural features to make it unique, such as plank wood flooring in many rooms, tile in the bathroom, even and tin tile ceiling in the kitchen. I may add some tin tiles as backsplash as well, but just haven't decided yet. When I have time, I will document my process for making tin ceiling tiles. It's time consuming, but worth it.

I also love creating miniature furniture and accessories for the house, with a goal of making them as realistic and true to scale as possible. I hope to document that as well on my Miniature Projects page. I have sold several of my handmade miniatures on my Etsy site: https://www.etsy.com/shop/Thumbwick

I hope you enjoy the site!
